
WE ARE RECRUITING – Education / Sensitisation Personnel linked to Bis Lamer
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, co-ordination and delivery of sensitisation, education and training sessions on coastal and marine environmental issues to varied audience through Bis Lamer and at schools
- Assist in the research and development of outreach tools on existing and new themes
- Conduct various surveys and collect data under the different education projects as needed
- To input data into data bases when requested
- Write up activity and progress reports for funders
- Facilitate and co-ordinate the communication process with different stakeholders; schools, community groups, fisher communities and others
- Help maintain the inventory of sensitisation and related material and equipment for Bis Lamer
- Any other tasks and duties appointed by Management
Required:
- Should have a strong interest and demonstrate general knowledge about environmental and climate change issues, and/or a minimum of high school biology, geography or environmental management.
- Must have and demonstrate computer skills, use of word, excel, power point, email and social media
- Must be able to speak English, French and Creole fluently
- Must be personable and like to work with persons of all ages
- Must be flexible with working hours according to schedule
- Living in the Northern Region
- Possessing a B Carrier Drivers licence would be an advantage
